I am a Clinical Dietitian with a PhD in Biochemistry and Nutrition (London Metropolitan University, with a bursary), and postgraduate studies in Clinical Dietetics (European University Cyprus), in Medical Science of Human Nutrition (University of Sheffield Medical School), and in Biomedical Sciences (University of Westminster, United Kingdom).
I have extensive professional experience in research, academic education and clinical practice, in university institutions, research centers and hospitals in Greece, Cyprus, Belgium and the United Kingdom. In Greece, I completed clinical training in public hospitals (“Alexandra”, “Elena Venizelou”), with experience in a variety of nursing units and nutritional interventions, including clinical nutrition protocols and special programs such as “Healthy Nutrition in Pregnancy”.
I have participated in research projects concerning nutritional biochemistry and the effects of micro- and macronutrients on physical function, with applications in the prevention and treatment of diseases such as premature birth, gestational diabetes, inflammatory bowel diseases and others.
