Following cardiology training and PhD (Athens Medical School), I pursued a clinical/research fellowship in interventional cardiology with focus on coronary physiology (OLV-clinic, Aalst, Belgium; a centre of excellence for interventional cardiology). These were supported by grants by the European Society of Cardiology and the Hellenic Cardiological Society and resulted in  publications in major peer-reviewed journals. Active in the clinical, as well as research field, my areas of expertise include coronary interventions, arterial hypertension, arterial stiffness and
cardiac ultrasound (board certified by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging).

I work as an attending cardiologist at CHU Saint-Pierre University Hospital, Brussels.
